Collobrières, a charming village in Provence, located in the Maures forest, is crossed by the “Real Collobrier” river. It is renowned for its chestnut groves and cork oak harvesting.

Considered the “chestnut capital,” it is celebrated every year in October (the last three Sundays). There is a craft market and various activities where chestnuts can be found in all their forms.

Collobrières is also a village where you can find historical remains, such as the ruins of Saint-Pons church, the Chartreuse de la Verne, and a humpback bridge dating from the 12th century.

The village is ideally located for hiking enthusiasts. Situated in the heart of the Maures massif, it is the starting point for many roads, trails, and paths that cross the state forest. You can also enjoy three marked trails of varying lengths, including one that passes through a chestnut grove.
